Blue sapphires stand for strength and power. The dark blue color of sapphires is often connected to the celestial and something divine and powerful.  Sapphires were also said to have properties that could protect the wearer from potential harm. Blue sapphires promote mental stability, inner health, and physic visions and awareness. It is said to open the third eye of individuals, as stated in the chakra theory. It is said to enhance communication and reduces miscommunication.

Care & cleaning

Blue sapphires are hard stones and can survive accidental hits and drops. However, it is always safe to take care of these precious gems and avoid falls and damage. If you plan on doing physical activity, it is‌ recommended to take off your sapphire jewelry and keep it safe.  If you wish to clean your‌ sapphire at home, you can use mild dishwashing soap and warm water. Mix well the water with a spoon and place your sapphire in this solution carefully. Let it sit for ‌20 minutes and then brush the gem with a soft brush to remove any residue. While brushing, ‌brush the edges as well. The last step is to rinse the gem thoroughly and wipe it with a clean cloth that is soft and dry.
